Duncan Responds to Senate Democrat Letter on Boeing

Aug 30, 2018 Issues: Economy and Jobs

Laurens, S.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) responds to a letter sent by Senate Democrats regarding Boeing in South Carolina:

“It is infuriating that a group of Democratic Senators, all from the far left and not affiliated with our state, have taken an extreme interest in South Carolina’s workforce affairs. Businesses like Boeing, BMW, Volvo, and others come to South Carolina for our highly-skilled workforce, our fantastic business climate, and our right-to-work status. They don’t come to our state for a big government, socialist agenda pushed by the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

“The hard-working people of South Carolina are thriving from an amazing business atmosphere that is coveted around the country, a booming economy, and middle class tax cuts. With all the success we are seeing in our state, we don’t need far left Democrats from other states telling our companies and workers what is best for them. Their malicious crusade against South Carolina’s workers must stop now.”
