Congressman Jeff Duncan Issues Statement on UnitedHealth Leaving the ObamaCare Insurance Exchanges

Washington, D.C.--Congressman Jeff Duncan released the following statement regarding UnitedHealth’s decision to leave nearly the entire health exchange market:

“UnitedHealth’s recent announcement that they are nearly completely leaving the Obamacare insurance markets demonstrates the failure of government run healthcare. UnitedHealth’s decision signals the beginning of the end for ObamaCare, as decreased participation in the exchanges will cause rates to increase exponentially. I knew this was an inevitability, which is why I have done everything I can to repeal and defund this horrible healthcare law. Our country should learn from its mistakes and move away from a costly government run health system and towards more patient centered, personalized care.”
