June 29, 2021

Washington D.C. - Today, Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) was appointed to the Energy, Climate and Conservation Task Force by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.

House Republicans have been working for years to develop thoughtful, targeted legislation to reduce global emissions by ensuring the United States can develop and build new technology at home that is clean, affordable, and exportable. The mission of the Energy, Climate and Conservation Task Force is to build on this commitment. It will focus on legislation that promotes innovation, invests in clean energy infrastructure, and implements natural solutions and conservation initiatives.

"I'm honored to be named to this very significant task force," said Congressman Duncan. "The United States leads the world in reducing emissions. My goal will be to continue this progress while working to lead America to more affordable, accessible, reliable, and cleaner energy by pursuing an all-of-the-above approach to energy policy. Our approach must be based on reality and viable technologies that can meet the needs of a 21st-century economy. I look forward to working with my colleagues to prioritize energy affordability and reliability for the American people."
