Duncan to Serve on Three Energy and Commerce Subcommittees

January 21, 2021

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) released the following statement after being appointed to three House Energy and Commerce Subcommittees for the 117th Congress including Energy, Environment and Climate Change, and Communications and Technology.

"I am proud to serve on three consequential subcommittees under the leadership of Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers. There are important issues that face our nation, especially now with the Biden Administration threatening many of the monumental achievements we made during the last four years. I will utilize my role on these subcommittees to fight for energy dominance, rural broadband expansion, free speech on social media, health care freedom, and policies that create jobs and advance the American dream. It will be an uphill battle with Democrats continually pushing their agenda to the far left, including advocating for socialized medicine, social media censorship, and policies that make us reliant on energy from foreign adversaries. Even with these challenges, I'm ready to get to work on behalf of South Carolina's Third Congressional District and our entire nation."
