Over the past few weeks I have had the pleasure of speaking with thousands of South Carolinians about the pressing issues our nation is facing. Since Congress’s last week of session in August, I have participated in nearly 60 constituent meetings, town halls, business tours, and media interviews across the 3rd Congressional District and South Carolina.
While I had a full schedule planned this week, my district tour was cut short as I was called back to Washington to participate in a House Foreign Affairs Committee Hearing on President Obama’s proposed military actions against Syria.
In talking with constituents about the current situation in Syria, it has been overwhelmingly clear that the majority of South Carolinians are vehemently opposed to US military involvement in Syria. I took those voices to Washington with my questioning of the Administration at the recent House Foreign Affairs Committee Hearing which you can find here:
